FARM AWAY AT ELIZBETH VALE THIS WEEK
25/7/2010

The Farm A/B/C Teams are away to the Vale this weekend. It is always tough to go down to the Vale and this week will be no different. Previous encounter have seen a few goals so make sure you come down to the support the C's, Ressies and First team.

The Ingle Farm Girls Team team play UNISA at home. Hopefully the girls can get up and take the points.

Dad's Army are away at Para Hills West.

FARM BEAT FULHAM IN A GOAL FEAST
25/7/2010

In one of the most action packed games of the year, Ingle Farms A's headed down to Collins Reserve to play Fulham.

Following the reverse encounter earlier on in the year, where the Farm trounced Fulham 7-1, this game certainly showed the signs of a much closer encounter, which was delivered to a tea.

Both sides came out all guns blazing from the kick off as each side applied pressure to their opposing defenses. It was Fulham who broke through first from some good passages of play to take a 1-0 lead. The Farm did not drop their heads and minutes after going behind a Lachlan Campbell 25 yard thunder bolt leveled the ledger, 1-1. For the next 15 minutes end-to-end attacking football saw good saves pulled out by both keepers before Fulham took the lead again from a clever header which lobbed over Franklin, 2-1. For the second time in the game, the Farm went behind and like it was deja vu, the Farm pegged a goal back through Cox only minutes later, 2-2. The remainder of the half saw both sides have good passages of play with Fulham having a 30 yard shot thump the underside of the cross bar and out, while the Fulham keeper pulled off some very good saves to keep the scores level at half time.

The second half continued similar to the first with both sides peppering the goals, but it was Fulham for the third time in the game which went ahead from a well constructed cross and well taken header, 3-2. The way both side were playing, the coaches and supporters knew there was still a goal or two left in the game and they were not disappointed. Lachlan Campbell again rose to the occasion and hit a 20 yard thunder bolt which deflected off a Fulham player and into the back of the net, 3-3. Farm then put the metal to the peddle and started to get on top of the game for the final 15 minutes with Clarke taking an inspirational run down the right wing and with surgical precision crossed the ball for Cox to cleverly head inside the front post, 3-4. With minutes to go Cox whisked a clever ball to Donavan in the box who was brought down for a penalty. Cox stood up and slotted the ball away for his hatrick, 3-5. This was the final score for the game and well hard fought win for the Farm. Well done lads.

The Farm Reserves following last weeks solid win came to Collins Reserve winless from its last two encounters against Fulham. Both sides had good passages of football in the first half but it was the Farm who went ahead 1-0 through a well taken goal by David Eggers in the 43rd minute. The Farm turned up the heat in the second half and added two more good goals though Rich and Rutter. Final score 3-0.

The Farm C team unluckily drew 1-1 by a somewhat dubious offside goal scored by Fulham in the second half. The Farm, who started the game with 10 men, fought hard in the first half to hold up to the relentless pressure applied by the Fulham side. To the Farms credit they went a head from a Josh McQueen 25 yard strike which dribbled past the keeper, possibly skimming Kanu and into the net. Both players claimed the goal but it was McQueen who chased down the Ref pointing at his number on the back of his shirt while begging the ref to put number 10 down as the scorer. On yah Josh.

A good day out by the Farm today, well done boys.

Dad's Army had a bye.

DOWNS BEAT THE FARM IN A TIGHT TUSSLE
18/7/2010

Ingle Farms A's went down 1-0 to the Downs in a very tight and sloggy game. The first 45 minutes saw both teams try to adjust to the horrible pitch conditions which made it very difficult to play football. The first half was end to end football with the Farm controlling the majority of the half. The second half saw the Downs press a little more to try score and in the 75th minute Paresi took his chance for the Downs to tuck away a very good through ball. The Farm dominated the final 15 minutes having 6 or 7 good chances to tie the game but some very good Downs keeping keep the ball out of the net. The loss put a huge dent in the Farms chances for a title this year.

In the curtain raiser, the Farm Reserves thumped an under done Downs 5-1. The Farm took the lead through a fine David Eggers volley before the Downs equalised from a thunder bolt drive. The Downs unfortunately went down to 10 men though injury and the Farm dominated the half from there on and came in at half time 3-1 up. To the Downs credit they never gave up and took it to the Farm in the second half but it was the Farm that dominated the second half, the score could have easily been a football score at the end if not for some very good goal keeping by the Downs keeper and bad finishing from the Farm.

The C game was called off to try and preserve the pitch.

The Ingle Farm Girls Team went down 4-1 to Adelaide Uni.

FARM SINK VIKINGS AFTER FIRST HALF CRUSADE
29/6/2010

Ingle Farm's 1st Team destroyed Adelaide Vikings in the first half of their game on Sunday to set up a comfortable 5-0 win to the home team at Walkley Park.

In arguably some of the best football played by Farm all year, Farm quite simply took Vikings apart. Defence, midfield, attack, you name it, Farm had winners all over the park.

There were some impressive passages of play that set up goals and chances going forward, Vikings struggled to even get a kick of the ball. It was 5-0 by half time - but for some outstanding saves by the Vikings keeper, it may well have reached 10-0.

Coach Paul Simpson made some changes in the second half as the pace dropped with the result a forgon conclusion. Some squad players were given some valuable time on the park, while Anthony Staltari and Torsten Rutter will further strengthen Simpson's options this week with their returns to training.

Ingle Farm Reserves made it 2 wins from their past 2 starts as the lads eased past Adelaide Vikings Reserves in the 1:10pm game at Walkley Park.

The lads were winning 1-0 before Coach Hannessen substituted his two strikers for Jarrad Rich and Nick Filipou who combined well to thicken up the coach's attacking options. 4-0 it finished with Filipou grabbing a brace.

Ingle Farm C Team had the chance to draw level and close the gap at the top of the ladder against undefeated Vikings C Team midway into the second half when the lads were awarded a with a penalty kick.

Unfortunately for the team, Josh McQueen missed the target from the spot that may have lead to being the first points dropped by Vikings C Team. Oh well, chin up son, next time. C Team lost 1-0.

Ingle Farm's Over 35's had their Cup Game moved out to Modbury Vista due to Walkley Park being double-booked. 3-3 was the final score - which probably doesn't help either team qualify for the semi finals in the round-robin cup competition.

And our Ingle Farm Girls Team got off to a cracking start against all conquering Seymour Girls at Adelaide High School on Sunday morning when they led the game 1-0 during the first half. However the undefeated Seymour girls, (who average over 6 goals a game for) fought back strongly to overcome the Farm Girls 4-1 in the second half.

I would say our girls can take something away from that result, that is only the second time this year Seymour had conceded a goal, so well done to our girls - top effort!

FARM BEAT GARDENS ON ALL FRONTS - 1ST TEAM MOVE UP TO SECOND PLACE
21/6/2010

A large crowd headed down to Walkley Park yesterday and witnessed Ingle Farm's 1st Team's impressive come-from-behind win over Parafield Gardens. This followed our other two teams also enjoying wins on a good day out for the club.

Farm's 1st Team went into the Gardens match without star utility Evan Emmanuel who was missing through family committments, while Captain Chris Ennis was treading eggshells as his expectant partner Lisa was due to give birth at any minute - Graham Elrick was drafted on to the bench as a fresh player as cover in case of any developments before or during the match.

Farm started the game well and went ahead through Matty Cox after 10 minutes. Gardens replied just before the break. H/T - 1-1.

After the break, Gardens took the lead before Farm went BANG, BANG, BANG in the last half hour to win the chocolates 4-2. A great strike to Paul Jones was amongst Farm's second half goals.

It was an impressive performance from our 1st Team lads that now makes it 7 wins from the last 7 starts against local rival Gardens over the past 4 years. That's a lot of Vodka Sarah!!

Ingle Farm Reserves stunned 2nd-ranked Parafield Gardens 4-0 in the 1:10pm match. Strikers Fernando Lara and Cameron Hawkins both grabbed 1st half goals and from there the boys were never really challenged.

After an indifferent season so far, we wont sing the Reserves their praises just yet, but signs were much better this week from what we had been previously dished up. I understand Anthony Martini has taken up a coaching role alongside Leon Hannessen, this can only be a positive for the young team's development in 2010. Well done you guys.

Ingle Farm C Team also had a fine win in the 11:30am match at Walkley Park. Due to a few injuries and a couple of travellers to the FIFA World Cup, the C Team lads had the bare 11 players for this match.

An early injury to a Farm player saw them reduced in effect to 10 men for most of the game, but the lads battled very hard, kept their shape well and played some quite good football. Farm scored two goals during the first half through Mark Capel and Scotty Hall before Shannon Baxter claimed a shanked cross that sailed into the far corner to complete the 3-0 scoreline. So well done to them as well, and well done to stand in coach Anthony Martini who did a very fine job of keeping his 10 boys organized during the game.

Shock horror for Ingle Farm Over 35's yesterday, where if it could go wrong, it did go wrong. A 7-1 thumping at the hands of top team Modbury Jets Old Boys filtered through the airwaves around Walkley Park after their 1:30pm game at Golden Grove.

Reports of players rocking up at the wrong ground were rife and I even heard that one Brian Toomer was given his marching orders by the referee after his latest outburst on the park. Huh rumors.

Worse news was the injury to goalkeeping sensation Bodo Glimit. A dislocated shoulder will see him miss some upcoming matches. Coach Lee Perkins has gone into damage control and is hoping to locate the Albanian Cat who went walkabout some weeks back. I informed lee Mark can be found around the Ingle Farm BBQ like a bee to honey. Perhaps on field liability Gavin Powney could be sacrificed to between the sticks as cover for Bodo. We look forward with anticipation to his C Team report for this game anyway.

Despite the Over 35's..  well..  thrashing, all in all it was a great day for the club. We would like to thank all the Parafield Gardens travelling supporters for supporting our BBQ and Bar all day, see you guys in the return leg at seasons end.

FARM FIGHT HARD TO OVERCOME PONTIANS AWAY
7/6/2010

Ingle Farm's 1st Team fought on well to eventually overcome gritty Pontian Eagles away at Ferryden Park on the weekend.

Farm opened the scoring through a Matty Cox penalty in the 30th minute and took a 1-0 lead into half time. Pontian came out in the second half fired up and forced a goal after 65 minutes to level the score. Farm then stepped up a gear in the final 20 minutes to power two further goals past the hapless Pontian keeper to give Farm a winning final result of 3-1.

Good games to Matty Cox, Anthony Staltari, Barry Fitzharris, Evan Emmanuel, Lachie Campbell and Joseph Tasovac, well done lads.

Still no good news on the Reserves front, by all reports, the lads had their chances in the opening 20 minutes to score 3-4 goals, but they failed to take their chances. Eventually Pontians Reserves scored a goal to level the scores at 1-1.

I was fortunate enough to witness Darren Bancroft running out a FULL GAME as our Over 35's had a fine win over 2nd-placed MC Woodpeckers in Round 5 of the Division 10 competition. Boys played well - killed them in fact for most of the game. Steve Paterson, Vinnie Evans, Peter King, Darren Bancroft, Greg Ensor and Lee Perkins all had good games as the Dads Army outfit finally ran out 4-2 winners at Walkley Park. Little birdie told me there also might be a new player in the squad for this week. <MATCH REPORT>

And our girls just fell shy of another win. Although they led early doors, Salisbury Inter Girls outlasted the Farm girls in an epic battle in the rain at Walkley Park. The final score was 3-2.

FARM DOWN BEACH 3-0
31/5/2010

Farm defeated a depleted West Beach first team 3-0 at Walkley Park on Sunday. A brace to Matty Cox was followed by a strong header from Chris Ennis to set up the win for the home team. <MATCH REPORT>

Ingle Farm Reserves continued their poor run of results when they were defeated by top team West Beach reserves. Cam Hawkins scored a goal before West Beach replied through an inspired Danny McCombie. McCombie again scored in the second half before Beach again found the net moments later. Final score 1-3.

Ingle Farm C Team were held to a draw with Beach's C Team. A super shot by Tan Nguyen was deflected goal bound by an unlucky defender before Beach pounced with a goal of their own 10 minutes later. Final score 1-1.

Dads Army scored their first win of the year with a 3-1 result over Modbury Jets ASC. <MATCH REPORT>

And our poor girls team got a hammering - 7-0 away at Western Toros.

FARM GIRLS FIGHT OUT A HISTORIC FIRST EVER WIN !!!
24/5/2010

Stealing the headlines this week is our new Girls Team who today fought back from being 1-0 down to eventually ground out a 2-1 win over Pultney in their catch up game at Walkley Park.

Actually got out to see this game this week, and i must say its a lot different to watching the lads play. Anybody ever see that movie league of Its Own ?? For example, at half time the girls are checking and using mobile phones, one player even ducked off to the shops !! It was a bit of a culture shock for me I guess.

But credit to the girls, the weather was crappy, the game is scrappy, they went behind and they fought back strongly. As the game went longer the girls certainly got better - even to the point of stringing a few moves together. Amazing what a bit of confidence can do.

Candice and Heather scored the goals for Farm today, while both enjoyed good games, there we many other good contributors including (I don't know names) the young sweeper number 4, number 13, 10, 15, 11 and Lydia in goals made a save or two. There was probably a few more that I have missed - so apologies to anyone I left out.

So well done girls, great effort, a come from behind 2-1 win and lets hope to see the team climb the ladder in the next few weeks. Better say well done to Coach Timmy Walker who has single handidly built this team this season, its a good reward for him who puts a lot of time into it, and generally has had to do everything himself.

FIRST TEAM AND RESERVES GO DOWN, C TEAM WIN
24/5/2010

Best to keep this weeks summary short and sweet as there wasn't much good news to write about.

First team conceded 3 early goals against Westies and never really recovered. Won't say too much about the third goal that left poor old Mikey a bit red faced. Bit of an unlucky penalty conceded against as well. Frustrating to watch but Westies played well on their ground and deserved their win. Must say ex Ingle Farm player Vahid Rahmani played extremely well in the midfield for Westies against his old club. Final result was 4-2. <MATCH REPORT>

Reserves lost 2-1. Apparently the Egg hit some good form while young Vaselli did some good things.

C Team won 4-1. Highlight being Luke Savage's 100 metre goal.

Dads Army drew 0-0 in the first leg of their cup played at Walkley Park yesterday.

FARM DEFEAT VALE 1-0 AT WALKLEY PARK
17/5/2010

Ingle Farm's First Team had a solid win over Elizabeth Vale at Walkley Park on Sunday.

A Chris Ennis header in the first half was enough to grab the points, yet Farm could have easily scored more. <MATCH REPORT>

Our Reserves lead early but eventually drew with Vale's Reserves 2-2.

Ingle Farm C Team had a comfortable win over Vale's C Team 2-0. A bit of a dispute whether Lloyd Townsend or Kanu scored one of the goals. I thought Kanu, but much like Lloyd's father, was hassled to the point of giving in.

Ingle Farm Girls team are looking like their first win is just around the corner. A few new recruits and finally the girls fielded a full team, but fell short losing 1-0 away at Flinders University.

And the bloody Over 35's lost again. That's 0-3, sound familiar ?? My tip is they will go 0-6, then win a dour contest over a nothing team for their first win!! Bancroft's hammy went again, even heard Townsend went off injured. Vinnie missed a sitter. Excuses excuses. They need an injection of youth, but that's against the rules, so they're stuffed. <MATCH REPORT>

CUP SHOCK - FARM BOW OUT TO SATURDAY DIVISION 2 TEAM IN ROUND 1
12/5/2010

Ingle Farm Soccer Club would like to apologize to its supporters after the performance of our first team last Saturday where Ingle Farm lost 3-2 away at Old Ignatians in the first round of the SAASL Cup.

As a club, we understand the result is unacceptable, and the players, coaches and support staff have been made aware performances like that will not be tolerated.

The club has a great deal of faith in Paul Simpson, his playing group and the support staff. We understand the players are extremely disappointed with last weeks game and look forward to seeing their reply this weekend against the Vale.

Farm led 2-0 at half time through goals from Evan Emmanuel and Barry Fitzharris before missing crucial opportunities to finish the game off. Inevitably, Iggies fought back strongly and three second half goals was enough to see them advance into the second round.

Better news for Farm's Reserves when they defeated Southern Knights 7-2 away at O Sullivans Beach. Cameron Hawkins grabbed a bag of 5 to lead the team to victory.

Our Over 35's again went down.. 3-1 at home against Elizabeth Downs - leaving them sitting at the foot of the Division 10 league table. Steve Paterson grabbed the solitary goal for Farm. Good news for the club was the securing of a permanent goalkeeper - infamous Footballnews lurker "Bodo Glimit" is the new Ingle Farm keeper for our Over 35 Team. Welcome to the club Bodo.

And finally, very disappointing for our Girls Team on Sunday when the opposition rocked up at 10:30am for a 11am kick off. During the week the club contacted FFSA to move the fixture to a 1pm slot, but apparently the message never got through to Pulteney. We await whether the game will be replayed or if points will be awarded.

FARM BLAST SEVEN PAST FULHAM
3/5/2010

Ingle Farm easily defeated bottom-placed Fulham United 7-1 yesterday at Walkley Park to move up to 3rd Position on the SAASL Sunday Premier League ladder after the completion of Round 4.

Paul Jones was the main destroyer with a second half hat-trick but good performances also came from Joe Tasovac (2 goals,) Evan Emmanuel (1 goal,) Dave Ennis, Barry Fitzharris and Michael Clark. <MATCH REPORT>

Ingle Farm's Reserves went down to a well drilled Fulham Utd Reserves team 2-0 in the 1:10pm match at Walkley Park. Haven't heard much on the game, apart from captain Andy Lynn saying it was a poor performance. The loss drops the Reserves to 6th on the ladder.

Ingle Farm's C Team also got knocked off their perch when Fulham's C Team beat them 2-1 in the 11:30am game.

Away from Walkley Park, the news didn't get much better for our other Ingle Farm teams. The Girls team were caught short by one player with injury and illness adding to the team's woes. So playing with ten men, er women, by all reports the girls fought back well during the second half, but could not pull back the 4 goals they conceded during the first half. Well done to the 10 girls that battled it out for 90 minutes however.

Biggest defeat was that of our Over 35 Team. A 6-2 thumping at the hands of Modbury Vista Over 35's. Peter King claimed "They had a young team." LOL, you know you're getting old when you judge an Over 35 Team as "young." Personally I would have thought a few of our boys were a little miserable after the Power rolled the Crows on the weekend. Apparently it was 2-2 at half time, but much like their counterparts, they got smashed in the last quarter. :) <MATCH REPORT>

FARM SALVAGE POINT AWAY AT DOWNS
27/4/2010

Ingle Farm's 1st Team surrendered a couple of soft goals but fought back late to eventually draw 2-2 with Elizabeth Downs away at Argana Park on Sunday.

Brad Donovan grabbed the opening goal with a fine volley before a defensive lapse allowed Downs back into the game through their striker Andy Mallia.

In the second half, Downs hit the lead through Michael Cartwright before substitute Michael Clark came on to rescue a point with a close-in header.

In the Reserves, a disappointing performance saw our lads lose 1-0 to Downs Reserves. Apart from the performances of Peter Rossi, Duy Tran and captain Andy Lynn, it was overall a below par showing. <MATCH REPORT>

C Team News is a bit both ways this week.. Firstly, horrific news that youngster Pierre "Smiffy" Mavrangelos came off second best to a nasty challenge that resulted in him breaking his arm in 4 places. The club would like to wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.

Good news was that our lads won the game 4-0 and now sit top of the ladder. My spies tell me that none other than Scotty Hall grabbed a brace.. that makes it Scotty 2, Cam 2. Well done to the youngsters and we hope they keep their good form going.

FARM TOPPLES FLORINA
18/4/2010

Ingle Farm Soccer Club had a clean sweep over Salisbury Florina Soccer Club with three wins at Walkley Park on Sunday.

Ingle Farm's first team scored its first win of the 2010 SAASL Sunday Premier League season when it defeated last years champion Salisbury Florina 3-1 in the main match at Walkley Park.

Farm opened the scoring with a goal against the run of play when Dave Ennis swooped on a blocked Matty Cocks shot midway into the first half to guide the ball home from 6 yards.

After the break Farm immediately struck again when Matty Cocks set Paul Jones away who easily tucked the ball away for his first goal of the season.

Florina later pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining in the match when Player-Manager Aaron Westervelt picked out Trevor Elliott to make the score 2-1.

However Farm's Paul Jones returned the favour to Matty Cocks minutes later when a superb pass set up Cocks who rifled the ball home from 15 yards to seal 3 points for the home team.

Ingle Farm Reserves made it 2 from 2 with a hard-fought win over Florina Reserves in the 1pm game at Walkley Park. Once again it was the sharp-shooting Cameron Hawkins who collected the winner late in the game.

Ingle Farm C Team had an easy 6-0 win over Florina's C Team. The lads played some fine football as they controlled most of the match, even when Paul Townsend and Jason Walker were both on the park at the same time late in the game.

And congratulations to Timmy Walker's Girls Team who scored their first point in FFSA Division 5 with a 1-1 draw against Para Hills East away at Para Hills Oval. Well done girls !!

LATE EQUALIZER STUNS FARM AWAY AT VIKINGS
12/4/2010

Ingle Farm looked set to take all three points in their opening SAASL Sunday Premier League game away at Adelaide Vikings until a late equalizer in added time ripped 2 points away from the visitors after an impressive comeback.

Farm started slowly and went 1-0 down midway into the first half. After half time Farm fought back with a goal from Chris Ennis before new signing Lachlan Campbell showed his quality with a stunning 25 yard volley that gave Farm the advantage.

Final score: Adelaide Vikings C 1 Ingle Farm C 0

And history was made yesterday with our new Womens Team lining up for their first match, however it was not one to remember as our girls went down 8-1 away at Adelaide Uni.

Final score: Adelaide University 8 Ingle Farm 1. <MATCH REPORT>

LEON HANNESSEN NEW RESERVES COACH FOR SEASON 2010
6/4/2010

Ingle Farm Soccer Club is pleased to announce that former player Leon Hannessen is the new Ingle Farm Reserves coach for 2010.

Leon has been a successful player through the years winning league titles with Para Hills East, Salisbury Inter and Ingle Farm.

We wish Leon all the best and hope for a successful season in the Reserves ranks.

INGLE FARM WIN 2010 CICHANOWSKI SHIELD
30/3/2010

Paul Simpson's men have won another trophy for the club's coffers when they defeated Saturday Premier League Champions, Adelaide Villa, 2-0 at Walkley Park last Saturday.

In front of a moderate crowd, Farm and Villa fought it out during the first half with both teams having chances to score before Farm got on top during the second half to overpower their opposition. The final score was 2-0.

Captain Chris Ennis held the shield aloft after the game to make it two trophies in 6 months for the club. Great job lads !!

Now.. the Reserves.. well not much to write about here. But I will mention the glaring miss of photographer Jackie Tran. Possibly considered a sharp shooter in his trade of choice, on the soccer park on Saturday I witnessed one of the most GLARING MISSES I have ever seen in all my time in soccer. I see 6 year olds put them away for Christ's sake !!

5 yards out, unmarked, open goal, and he absolutely butchered it, it nearly went out for a throw in !!!! Anyway, rant over, he knew that was coming, but it could have been the difference as the Farm and Villa's Reserves drew 0-0.

Our Womens team had another trial on the weekend - they were well beaten 6-0. But coach Tim Walker reports that some more girls are coming down next week to join the group, so we look forward to that.

All our teams have a bye this weekend for Easter - but when they return next weekend it is SAASL Round 1 - away at Vikings. We will have more details up next week about that.

PLEASE NOTE FIXTURES ARE ON OUR FIXTURE PAGES NOW - A, B, C Teams and Over 35's ARE UP. Use the navigation bar to the left to check them out. You might also notice a new page for the girls team is there.. their fixtures are also up - take note of their kickoff times and support them where you can this season.

FARM PUT 5 PAST UNI AS EMMANUELS HAVE DAY OUT
18/3/2010

Ingle Farm Soccer Club's 1st Team has completed its 2010 trial matches winning all of its games after comfortably defeating Adelaide University at the weekend.

The 1st Team routed Saturday Premier team Adelaide University 5-0. Paul Jones, Matty Cocks & Brad Donovan all scored while Evan Emmanuel scored the goal of the day with a 25 yard thunderbolt into the top corner.

The Reserves also won their match 2-0 that included a penalty miss during the first half.

The C Team and Over 35's had an internal trial that eventually saw the young fellas outlast the old fellas 2-1.

And Tim Walker girls team had their first hit out with saw the end result 3-3. Evans two sisters both scored which made it a trifecta for the Emmanuels on the day.

WOMENS TEAM ENTERED INTO DIVISION 5 OF THE FFSA SENIOR WOMENS DIVISION
9/3/2010

Ingle Farm Soccer Club will for the first time ever in its 37 year history, be represented by a Senior Womens Team in 2010.

The team has been registerered to play in FFSA Senior Women Division 5 and will play Sunday afternoons - most likely at 1pm on a new second pitch at Walkley Park. Training is every Wednesday Night at Fairfax Rd, Ingle Farm, from 7pm - new players are very welcome.

Coach Tim Walker so far has around 10 players - so we are looking for another 4-5 players to complete the squad.

Tim has upcoming trial matches scheduled for Sunday March 21st and 28th before the season kicks off on April 11th 2010.

Any interested players should contact Tim Walker on 0412 531 126 ASAP as registrations must be lodged at least 1 week prior to the season proper.

FARM DOWN VISTA IN TRIAL MATCH #4
1/3/2010

Ingle Farm had two wins against Modbury Vista 1st and Reserve Teams yesterday at Walkley Park. Both matches finished in 2-0 scorelines.

Highlight of the day had to be Paul Jones' bicycle kick to open the scoring - before doing it again minutes later only to see in rebound off the underside of the crossbar!! Another positive was a penalty save from Farm goalkeeper Michael Francken after brother Paul recklessly challenged a Vista player inside the 18.

Young Mark Bromely scored an impressive goal during the Reserves game to continue his progression upward. Bromely's strike was a highlight in an otherwise dour contest that was played in warm conditions.

Downside of the day was two serious injuries - Ricky Simpson fractured his cheekbone while going in for a challenge during the first team game while Chris Brooker dislocated a knee after awkwardly going in for a challenge on the ball. Both lads are recovering well and we wish them well in getting back into it soon.

IFASC wish to thank Modbury Vista Soccer Club for 2 solid games and appreciate them filling a hole on such short notice. Thankyou to all their supporters who bought from the canteen and BBQ during the afternoon.

Both scorelines were 2-1.

FARM CRUISE THROUGH SECOND WEEKEND OF TRIALS
21/2/2010

Ingle Farm Amateur Soccer Club hosted Saturday Premier League club BOSA at Walkley Park on Sunday for its second trial game for 2010.

Both our 1st team and Reserves came through without incident as both teams found some goalscoring touch

Ingle Farm 1st Team won - they beat two different BOSA teams - the 1st half BOSA played their Reserves, Farm won that 3-0, then at half time BOSA substituted their whole team and brought on what looked like their first team - Farm won that half 2-1. All up - a 5-1 win for Farm. Lachlan Campbell starred for the first team while Ricky Simpson scored a blinding 30 yard strike.

And super signing Scotty Hall lead the Reserves to victory with a glorious goal during the Reserves 5-2 drubbing of a BOSA combined Reserves - C Team in the early match. Good mate Cameron Hawkins was delighted with his team mates contribution. Jason Walker missed a bag of opportunities (but seriously what's new?) while some of the young lads that have come to club from Ingle Farm Junior Soccer Club colts team did themselves no harm with some impressive pasages of play during the game.

IFASC would like to thank MSSC Blue Eagles for a good contest in both matches and wish them well for their 2010 assault in Sunday Division 3.

100 CLUB AT IFASC FOR 2010
10/2/2010

Another new thing for the upcoming season will be the introduction of a 100 club. The date for when numbers can be chosen is February 21 2010 .. i.e. some people might like to have their birth day number / or year of birth number.

Basically the concept is you pay $40 per share - but you can buy more than 1 share if you wish i.e. buying 2 shares doubles your chances of winning.

There will be a weekly $25 cash prize drawn after every game for 20 weeks straight starting in Round 1.We will be introducing a spinning wheel - numbered 1-100, and if that number is spun then you win the prize. (NOTE - You DO NOT have to be present for the draw to win.)

There is then a major draw with a $500 1st prize, $200 2nd prize and $100 3rd prize at this years Presentation Night. Again, if you can't make the Presentation Night then you will still receive any winnings in due course.

Richard Eggers and Trevor Bradbrook are overseeing the 100 Club so watch out for one of these guys on matchdays during the pre season - The monies can be paid up front or in minimum $10 payments during the year - NOTE: If you fall behind in payments you will be ineligible until you are financial again. Richard or Trevor can provide you more details upon request.
