C TEAM MATCH REPORT

ROUND 13
INGLE FARM vs ISC RAPTORS
WALKLEY PARK

4th win in a row as C's go top

Ingle Farm C's entertained the ISC Raptors in the early game at Walkley Park and coach Dunstall was there to greet us nice and early this week.

We looked like the Reserve team in the first half and should have been 6 - 0 up at half time. Our passing was sublime, but again our finishing let us down.

We managed to score four - 2 to Dazza and singles to Vinnie and new dad, Vu.

Second half changes may have been the reason for our dour display and failure to score in what could end up costing us the title as it may come down to goal difference. At one stage we had 3 forwards passing the ball to each other inside their 18 yard box so much, that I felt like getting some cones out for them. Vinnie Evans - "Big fish in a small pond" - Paul Simpson

In the end, my frustration led to countless runs into attack with 1 shot deflected for a corner, and another hitting the cross bar. Then with the final touch of the game my header from 18 yards out was ruled offside. Soccer can be a cruel game!!!

But enough about me, it was by far our easiest game and we blew a real chance to rack up a 10 - 0 win. One supporter was heard to say, " That was the most boring game I've ever seen," ... and he's a Power fan!

Again we had 17 players and no keeper, Lee never touched the ball in the first half, while Neil, our shortest keeper to date, made one "catch", and had one cleared off the line for him. Our defence was rock solid and again conceded nothing for the 3rd week in a row. We now have 4 games left, all against teams 3rd - 6th on the ladder.

Coach Dunstall dropped himself due to player numbers, but must return for this weeks game against TTG. Neil bought the C's a new match ball, thus ensuring he got a game, so we may see another 6 brand new match balls presented for our next home game. Rumour has it that Bling Bling may come out to training this week... we wait with bated breath.

Coach Dunstall was again a happy man and was heard to say "this coaching gig is not too hard after all."

PS.. Anto has some nice shots of Jason "K-Mart" Ogdon changing at half time, he may sell them to Womans Day.
