C TEAM MATCH REPORT

ROUND 4
ISC RAPTORS VS INGLE FARM
PARADISE PRIMARY SCHOOL
SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 2006

INGLE FARM C's thrash Raptors 12-1

That’s what the title should read…..! After travelling to Paradise and then back to Ingle Farm, Mark Faulkner and myself finally made it to the Raptors ground at 11:25 and had to settle for a spot on the bench with no shirt.

The pitch was the size of a postage stamp but very green, apart from the cricket pitch in the middle. Its so different watching from the side line.

We had a cast of 1000's today with 6 on the bench due to packed A's and B's squads. Even with our top scorer Cookie Monster, out with an injured ankle while playing netball wearing his favourite GA (Gay attack.)

We picked up Alex Bautista, Josh McQueen and Johnny "Walker" Miller from the B's along with the return of Dazza Bancroft, Mark "Shocker" Faulkner and Brendan Fagan who had been holidaying together in West Beach.

Don’t know who kicked off, but we looked very strong and passed the ball around with authority, but again failed to produce a shot on target. Then with the introduction of Shocker we finally started peppering the goals and scored 3 times in 10 minutes.

The Raptors threatened to take the game up to us and finally pulled one back and could have easily had more as the defence looked all over the place.

Half Time: 3-1 to Farm.

Second half and coach Dunstall makes 3 changes and I'm back on the park. Our forwards start to fire now and we create so many chances that the Raptors keeper is getting a sore neck as he watches the ball fly past or over his head.

Finally Vman scores and its 4-1, then Dazza and then Vman again to make it 6-1. The second half looked like a training session as we had the ball on a string and ran rings round them, but failed to really hurt them on the score sheet.

Vman ended up with hatrick but he should have been joined by others. Josh some how ended up in goals and kept the score to only one with some ungoalie like saves. All played well and we really looked like a team hungry for top spot.

The only way we can improve is score more and get Josh some gloves. In all, a great result which keeps us in the hunt and gets our goal diff back on track.

With this many players, all I can say is get out to training guys, or buy Coach Dunstall some beers on Thursday.

Coach Dunstall was heard to say " Very pleasing, we looked like my beloved Hawks."

Final Score: ISC Raptors 1, Ingle Farm C's 6
