C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S CORNER

ROUND 1
MACEDONIA VS INGLE FARM
BRAHMA LODGE
SUNDAY, APRIL 15, 2007

Farm today rocked up at Brahma Lodge where it faced Macedonia - hoping to erase last season's first round horror's where the C Team got thumped 8-1.

With B team players Daniel Donnelly and Richard Dunn being dropped back, the Farm had a turn out of 15. Even Scotty had a quiet Saturday night off ahead of this important fixture.

The Farm was all ready to warm up about half an hour before the game…this is not because they were pumped for the game but the fact that the women's soccer team were playing on the pitch before the game.

Macedonia did not have the strong team that they had last year, but they still brought out their 2ft goal keeper…who didn't do much in the game this morning.

It was Macedonia who kicked off. From the start Farm were on the attack. Training paid off as one touch soccer was put into place in a game situation.

Farm took the lead after 15 minutes. Tuyen Vu made a good run down the flank and crossed the ball in for Kanu to push the cross in the goals using his stomach. GOAL!!! 1-0 to the Farm.

Young Daniel Donnelly was running amok down the left flank.. as was Alex Bautista down the right. Macedonia didn't have a chance; they had but two players on the pitch who were making good use of the ball.

In the 20th minute, Farm extended their lead. Daniel put a good ball through for Tuyen, who flicked it through for Kanu - who placed it bottom corner to score. GOAL!!! 2-0 to Kanu.

Chances kept coming for Farm. Alex Bautista placed a cross for father Edwin, who headed the ball across the goal keeper and narrowly missed the target.

Daniel then made it 3-0 for Farm when he received the ball outside the 18 yard box, took on two players and put a fine shot past the Maco goalkeeper. GOAL!!! 3-0 to the Farm and a well deserved solo goal.

Some bewildering offside decisions against Farm denied them anymore opportunity for the rest of the half.

Macedonia then pulled a goal back when Jason Ogdon fouled inside our defensive 18 yard box .. the resulting spot kick bringing the score back to 3-1.

Halftime: Macedonia 1 Ingle Farm 3.

In the second half Farm took their game to a higher level. The Macedonian attack didn't threaten Farm's defence at all. Mark Preka was introduced for Jason Ogdon who had played a great game.

Farm kept attacking and 10 minutes into the half Alex Bautista scored a cracker from 15 yards when he received the ball, steadied, and shot it past the keeper. GOAL!!! 4-1 to Farm.

It was clearly Farm's game by now, and the goal flourish didn't stop. Tuyen Vu took on a couple of players and took a shot that deflected past the Maco keeper and into the goals. GOAL!!! 5-1.

Scotty made another change when Edwin Bautista copped a knock on his nose and had to go off. Richard Dunn replaced him. With Daniel Donnelly moving into the central midfield role, Richard dominated on the left out-pacing the Maco defenders.

In the 65th minute history was made, Kanu registered his first hat-trick for Ingle Farm. A deflected shot fell for Kanu 6 yards out - right in front of goal, who cleverly placed it past the keeper. GOAL!!! 6-1.

Kanu and Alex were taken off five minutes later for Chris "the Scottish lad" and Matty Marotti.

Then Farm iced the cake with 5 minutes to go. Tuyen made a fine diagonal run into the penalty box and took another shot hoping to score. Unfortunately for him the shot was deflected but fell to Richard Dunn who tapped in his first Farm goal. GOAL!!!! 7-1 to Ingle Farm…

The game ended 7-1 as the Farm marches in. It was a well deserved win and the score reflected Farm's dominance. Let me add the Farm did this with out half time oranges!!! Good performances from Alex Bautista, Daniel Donnelly, Lee Martindale, Tuyen Vu, Kanu Pereira and Neil Newman.

Final score: Macedonia 1 Ingle Farm 7

My spies tell me Kanu also missed some more chances, but more importantly, was caught offside no less than 5 times!! This brings the Kanu offside count to 18 in 6 games.. Better say well done on the hatrick though -Ed

We also might add a new segment to Kanu's reports. We will call it "Task of the week." This week's task will be for Kanu to find out the last name of Chris "the Scottish lad." Again this may involve attending training twice in a week. -Ed

C TEAM MATCH REPORT

ROUND 2
INGLE FARM vs SALISBURY INTER
WALKLEY PARK
SUNDAY, APRIL 22, 2007

THE SUPER C TEAM WINS AGAIN AS JASON OGDON MASSACRES A 15 YO BOY.

Farm keeper Scotty Collins looks to pluck the ball from a corner as Jason Ogdon, Alex Bautista, Richard Dunn and Edwin Bautista look onIngle Farm hosted Salisbury Inter for its first home fixture of the 07 campaign, in perfect conditions the Farm boys carved out an impressive 4-3 victory. The score line however doesn't reflect the dominance Ingle Farm had over their opponents and the Farm really should of won quite comfortably.

Ingle Farm started very sluggishly as Inter controlled the first 10 minutes of the match.

After 12 minutes, Inter broke far too easily down the centre of the midfield which led to a 3 on 1 with the last defender. The Inter midfielder carrying the ball, shot from just outside the 18 yard box, the ball rocketing into the back of net giving keeper Collins no chance. 1-0 to Inter.

Farm started to knock the ball around after the early blemish. The game was looking more promising for the record breaking crowd at Walkley Park (C game record – 27 and 3 dogs!)

Finally Farm replied when Timmy Walker released Edwin Bautista through the middle - who found Twin inside the penalty box, his first time shot deflected off an Inter defender and into the back of the net. A well deserved goal for Ingle Farm on 30 minutes. 1-1.

Now Farm's confidence was up as the home team created more chances. However it seemed like the forwards without naming them (Twin and Kanu) were practicing their field goals for the rugby world cup as most of their shots skyed over the crossbar for an imaginary 2 points, they must have been keeping tallies on each other, I think Twin won.

Ingle Farm were starting to look much better as they played good team football. Inter did manage several more attacks, but the Farm defence led by Lee Martindale and Brendan Fagan held firm, while Scotty ‘gloves' Collins was great between the sticks.

Halftime: 1-1

After a rev-up from coach Dunstall, Farm started the second half much better then the first. The home team continued to create chances from the offset.

Farm enjoyed a 20 minute period of pressure on their opponents and managed to score three times.

In the 55th minute, the Bautista clan combined for Farm's second goal. Alex did well down the right wing and crossed it to Edwin who showed great composure to chest the ball, turn his player and blast it past the Inter keeper just 7 yards out. Great goal. 2-1 to Farm.

Coach Dunstall made a change bringing on Tim Fisher for the disappointing Kanu, a straight swap up front.

The Inter heads started to drop as the Farm boys upped the pressure on their opponents. It was the Farms 200th corner which created the 3rd Farm goal in the 58th minute. Super sub Timmy Fisher fought off Brendan Fagan in mid-air to score from a corner, Brendan later found on the ground with his face in the dirt (ouch.) 3-1 to Farm.

Farm further extended their lead when super-sub Fisher scored his second goal in 5 minutes. Timmy showed great poise as a scramble in the 6 yard box resulted in the ball at his feet, before he belted the ball in the back of the net after 62 minutes. 4-1 to Farm.

By now Farm were well in control and starting to believe in themselves. This was evident when Jason ‘massacre' Ogdon started to fire up. After a terrific tackle in his own 18 yard box, Farm's “all round nice guy,” who had obviously hurt his 15 year old opponent Fabio, shocked everyone by proceeding to abuse the hell out of injured player while he was on the ground in pain ???!!!??

I think it was fair to say Inter's players and supporters were a little bit pissed off actually.

However things started to go wrong from this point. Some of the lads dropped their intensity and allowed Inter to come back into the game.

After picking up a loose ball, keeper Collins seemingly with the ball under control, lost it which led to an Inter goal with 20 minutes remaining. Referee Belly had turned his back on play for a split second and an Inter player came in and kicked the ball out of the goalkeeper's hands, which led to a tap in goal to the visitors. (Nobody complained or argued at the time.. you boys are your own worst enemy –Ed) 4-2.

With 5 minutes remaining in the match, Inter pulled back another goal. A good ball over Farm's defence found their striker and he cooly finished from 12 yards. 4-3 !!

This made for an interesting final few minutes as panic set in, however Farm comfortably held out Inter until the end.

Coach Dunstall later said it was a "Very impressive performance. The boys worked very hard today and to come back from 1-0 down to win 4-3 was very pleasing."

inglefarmsoccerclub.com best players for Farm: Lee Martindale, Neil Newman, Scotty Collins.

Final score: Ingle Farm C's 4, Salisbury Inter C's 3

Sadly, Kanu's offside count this week was 0, I'm shattered. His 2007 offsides remain at 18. He completed last weeks task of finding out Chris "the Scottish lad's" last name, I yesterday asked Kanu what it was.. and he said "Yeh its Donnelly", until a disgusted Chris spat it and told him it was Duncan, what a twat you are Kanu.

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 3
PARA HILLS EAST vs INGLE FARM
PARA HILLS OVAL
SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2007

With Farm having won two out of two games they traveled up the road where they visited the very young and fit Para Hills East C Team. Another good turn out saw 14 players turn up all wanting to keep their winning streak going.

Coach Dunstall had Kanu, Tuyen Vu and Jason Ogdon on the bench – I think he is a racist.

Last week's super-sub Tim Fisher got his first start of the season replacing unlucky Kanu. A couple B team “drop outs” helped out the Farm C's today including Danny Ryall, Jason Walker and Josh McQueen.

Farm started off well, playing their one touch soccer, but were unable to penetrate the wall that was the Para Hills East defence.

Farm's first chance of the match came when a ball was crossed into the penalty box by Danny Ryall where Tim Fisher decided to be the new Ronaldhino, as he attempted a bicycle kick that didn't trouble the East keeper.

Minutes later Danny Ryall had his own chance at scoring a goal, taking a left foot curler from out side the 18 yard box where the East keeper produced a great save. Both teams were defending very well rarely letting the attacking line produce a sniff at goal.

Even though the first half wasn't entertaining, it was Ingle Farm's half. We had most of the possession and were more of a threat than the home team.

Halftime 0-0

After the break East picked up their game. The home team kept testing Farm's defence but Farm managed to keep East out.

The deadlock was broken in the 50th minute when Farm's Brendan Fagan missed a header, letting it bounce over him for the Para Hills East striker to run on and place the ball past Farm keeper Scotty Collins. 1-0 to East

Graeme Scott made a couple of quick substitutions after this goal introducing the outstanding Kanu along with Tuyen Vu for Josh McQueen and Tim Fisher who had both run their race.

Still there was no threat to the East defence. It was a completely different team that Ingle Farm showed in the first half compared to the second half. The arguments and discouraging continued and worsened as the half went on.

With about 15 minutes to go Para Hills East sealed the deal with a great striker's finish. The young East striker received a through ball and took a shot across Scotty Collins and into the net. 2-0 to East

Graeme Scott wasn't impressed at all with his team's performance today. It was the first time this season the Farm did not finish their game with the Farm song.

Again two games in a row no offside's for KANU. Maybe so but 2 games and no goals to Kanu, maybe it was better when you WERE getting offside?? So the 2007 offside count remains at 18 for the year, ho-hum -Ed.

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 4
ATHELSTONE vs INGLE FARM
ATHELSTONE REC RESERVE
SUNDAY, MAY 6th, 2007

It wasn't the sunniest morning but another full turn out for the Farm squad. Ingle Farm looking to rise up following their loss last week to Para Hills East… playing a team that got thumped by 10 goals the previous week.

From what I hear this Athelstone C team doesn't see each other apart from Sunday games. We welcome back Mark ‘Ferrari' Faulkner playing his first game of the season.

Again three B teamers were handballed to Scotty for the game. Oh and again…the little black men were on the bench… I call this trio BBW…. (BLACK BENCH WARMERS). Joachim Pereira, Tuyen Vu And Edwin Bautista. Although Oggy the “mean machine” got a start and let me add - played a full game. It's blatent racism I tell you.

It was Farms kick off, and from the word go it was all Ingle Farm. Farm didn't play their usual passing game at the start, this was probably due to the fact that mentally the Farm thinks the game is a walk over.

After about 10 minutes of lifeless Farm attacking, the game started opening up. The midfielders got more into the game, Josh McQueen made dribbling and running look like a piece of cake, pity his finishing wasn't the best. If all Josh's chances were put away it would have been Josh McQueen 5 Athelstone 0. Meanwhile Mark Faulkner and Neil Newman were controlling the center of the park - feeding the ball to their wingers.

It wasn't the strikers half at all - Tim fisher collected a bundle of offsides ( -here we go, the BIG handball -Ed) and Richard Dunn missing a few chances on goal. Alex Bautista was also doing well playing his preferred roll on the right wing. Tim Fisher had his share of chances in the first half - but missed the goals by inches.

Then in the 40th minute Josh McQueen strikes to break the deadlock. Josh made a good run down the wing, dribbling past two defenders and the blasted a shot from the edge of the 18 yard box to score a cracker. 1-0 to the Farm…what a great goal.

The chances missed by Ingle Farm in the first half was almost uncountable. However good performances came from Daniel Ryall, Mark Faulkner, Josh McQueen, Lee Martindale and Jason Ogdon.

SECOND HALF

Couple of subs was made in the second half bringing on Tuyen Vu for Josh McQueen and Kanu Pereira for Richard Dunn. What a difference the substitutes made.

In the 50th minute the Farm defence cleared the ball from their own half, which led to the opposition goal keeper coming out of his box to clear the ball but missing the ball completely. Tuyen took this chance stealing the ball off the keeper and cooly touching it into the open net. GOAL!!!!! 2-0 to the Farm (SUPER SUB no.1)

Then Farm extended the lead to 3-0 five minutes later with a cracker goal from Kanu. Daniel Ryall crossed the ball from the edge of the penalty box. Kanu got around his defender and jumped up to header the ball into the top corner of the goal. GOAL!!!! 3-0 to Ingle Farm. (SUPER SUB no.2)

The Farm could have gone three more goals up in the space of 15 minutes but unfortunately for Farm, Tim Fisher could only produce the sound of the ball hitting the post. Three times I might add.

The Farm kept playing great soccer not letting the opposition have even a sniff at goals. The third sub was introduced Edwin Bautista for Alex Bautista. Immediately the substitution paid off, heading a cross to Kanu's feet, Kanu controlling the ball and blasting it past the keeper. GOAL!!! 4-0 to the Farm.

The Farm kept attacking. In the 80th minute Tim Fisher tried to curl a shot around the keeper but the keeper produced a great save for a corner.

Mark Faulker kept pressuring the defenders - twisting and turning around them. What a great game for his first of the season.

In the 90th minute Farm was awarded a corner. Daniel Ryall took the corner and found Edwin Bautista who headed in a great goal. GOAL!!! 5-0 to the Farm. (SUPER SUB no.3)

A great win for the Farm again. A great start to their season. Scotty's weekend just got better with the Hawks also collecting their win for the week. Scotty Collins had a great game. All he needed was a chair, a tele and a playstation and that would have made his day. (Scotty got three touches the whole game.)

Final score : Athelstone 0 Ingle Farm 5.

This weeks offside count was 3, in one half of football. Kanu tried to blame one on Edwin, but we all know it was Kanu. This takes this season's offside count to 21 for the year. -Ed

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 5
ELIZABETH DOWNS vs INGLE FARM
ARGANA PARK
SUNDAY, MAY 13th, 2007

For the second time this season…there was no sign of our coach Dunstall. It could be the fact that he went to a fortune teller who told him about the Hawks recording another loss to their AFL season. The Terminator Ogdon stepped up as acting coach on this 25 degree sunny day.

There were only two on the bench, Kanu earning his place back in the starting line up after his top performance from the previous week. We welcomed back Jason “The Politician” Walker and Richard "Van Der Sar" Bales to the C team this week.

It was Farm's kick off. In the first 10 minutes of the game the Farm could have gone at least 3-0 up. The Farm kept playing their usual passing game tearing up the opposition defence but unfortunately nothing came of it.

Edwin Bautista and Neil Newman were running their guts out, up and down the pitch. After about 20 minutes, the game evened out both team having equal amounts of possession.

Then in the 35th minute a controversial penalty was given to the Downs. Apparently Neil Newman stuck out an elbow in a 50-50 challenge in the air. The Downs fullback stepped up to take the penalty trying to place the ball to the right of the keeper. Van Der Sar guessed the right way and saved the penalty for Farm!

In the next 5 minutes Van Der Sar again performed two great saves from two one on ones – keeping the visitors in it.

Farm had the better of the first half, taking into consideration it was against a 12 man Downs side (the referee.) There were some shocking decisions by this club referee.

Good first half performances by Richard Bales, Neil Newman and Edwin Bautista

HALF TIME 0-0

Here comes the second half. After the boost talk by Jason Walker the Farm were ready for a better second half. Coincidently, Coach Dunstall finally rocked up and came on during the second half for the injured Neil Newman. You could tell Scotty's teeth were still floating from the night before.

Within 5 minutes of the restart - Farm struck. Kanu received the ball just inside the opposition half, and put a superb through ball for Alex Bautista who ran in one-on-one, took a touch and then cleverly chipped the ball over the Downs keeper. GOAL!!!!!!!!! 1-0 to the Farm.

This the cheating referee couldn't stand. There was no chance to cheat in this situation. You could see how upset the referee was after the goal was scored.

Then the referee did it again, with about 10 minutes to go, ANOTHER penalty was given to the Downs . This time their sub stepped up to take the spot kick. Even though Richard Bales guessed the right way; the ball went right under his elbow. 1-1.

Both sides were now pushing for the winning goal - but nothing came before the end.

The score was 1-1 at full time. All that could be said is, it was better then a loss. Farm deserved to win that game.. if it wasn't for a bias referee that favoured the home team, we may well have won. What can you do ?

Good performances for the Farm by Alex Bautista, Edwin Bautista, Lee Martindale and Richard Bales.

This weeks offside count came to just 1 for Kanu. Yearly total stands at 22, or 4.5 per goal (5 goals thus far.) Hmm seems to be a trend here with the B's and C's. Anyone pick it? -Ed

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 6
INGLE FARM vs PARAFIELD GARDENS
WALKLEY PARK
SUNDAY, MAY 20th, 2007

The morning started off bright as it has always been this soccer season but it didn't end well for the Farm as they were humiliated in front of their home crowd - getting thumped 4-0.

The Farm had only one sub (which was our very own Graeme Scott) ..and on top of that the Farm picked up two injuries during the game, defensive midfielder Neil Newman and Joachim Pereira the C's top scorer.

How could Farm not have enough players when even the C2's had about 14 turn up ?? Tan was called up to the C1's this week after his good performances with the C2's in previous weeks.

The kick off was later then usual, and its not the fact that there was another team playing, but the referee Mr. Robbie Bell decided he would finish his apple pie no matter what the circumstances.

It was Farm's kick off and from the start they were not switched on. But in the 15th minute the Farm had their chance to take the lead. A cross from Tuyen found Kanu right in front of goal, failing to put it away Kanu passed it off to Tan. Tan took a shot which was saved by the keeper, the rebound falling to Alex Bautista's feet who then took a shot and hit the frame of the goals from 15 yards.

Then came the first injury. In the 20th minute Neil Newman got tackled badly leading to an ankle injury. So now on comes the Coach/Sub but Farm were still was not switched on. A great play then in the 22nd minute from Gardens led to a good goal. The striker took on two defenders and cleverly placed it to the bottom of Farm's goal. 1-0 to Gardens.

Then 5 minutes later another injury, Kanu Pereira injured his hamstring trying to flick the ball around the goal keeper. It wasn't the start the Farm wanted. There were no subs so the injured player decided to go in goals for Scotty Collins.

The half ended with Gardens having the upper hand. 1-0

Second Half

The second half wasn't any better in fact it got worse. Farm had the better of possession in the second half but didn't put away their chances.

In the 50th minute Gardens extended their lead, again their striker took on the defenders and drilled the ball into the net. 2-0 to Gardens.

Then came two sloppy goals conceded by Farm. In the 75th minute, ordinary defending found the Gardens midfielder in front of goals tapping it past the injured goal keeper. 3-0 to Gardens

And then in the 80th minute a bad mistake by Farm's injured goal keeper cost them their fourth goal. Joachim Pereira came up to the edge of the box to clear the ball - that fell to the feet of the Gardens player - who blasted the ball back into the goals. 4-0 to Gardens.

The game ended in a disaster. Farm had their chance of going 2nd in the Division 8 ladder but failed. Well done to Parafield Gardens playing a great and hard game.

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 7
ELIZABETH VALE vs INGLE FARM
MOFFLIN RD, ELIZABETH VALE
SUNDAY, MAY 27th, 2007

Gloomy morning for a game of soccer but The C team have to revive their poor form from the last couple weeks. With the Hawks upsetting the league leaders in the AFL, Coach Dunstall was hoping to make it 2 from 2.

A few players missing form the C1 line up including Neil Newman(Ankle), Joachim Pereira(Hamstring) and Lee “THE WALL” Martindale (holiday).

We had a new recruit from the C2 team Intham. Danny Marotti and Tan were also called back to the C1 team. Alex Luker also decided to stop sitting on his ass and decided to play his first league game of the season. The Farm had a great team on paper but without their star striker – they were always going to struggle ;)

It was looking to be the Farm's day if it wasn't for Danny missing two sitters that could have sealed the game and broken the C team drought. The first half was all Ingle Farm playing their usual soccer, passing the ball as a unit. Alex Bautista was tearing up the left flank, which isn't his preferred side.

The half ended goalless.

Second half the Vale came back much stronger but so did the Farm. It was a very even second half until the end when Richard Bales and Brendan Fagan worked together well to stop 3 one on one opportunities in the dying minutes of the game.

Great game for both teams unfortunately only a point came from it.

ROUND 8
INGLE FARM vs SALISBURY FLORINA
WALKLEY PARK
SUNDAY, JUNE 3rd, 2007

Earlier in the pre season, in this match up, Ingle Farm outplayed Florina to win that game 2-0. It wasn't exactly the case this time round however where Florina responded by scoring three goals to win this league game 3-0 today.

Still a few missing faces in the C team including Lee Martindale, Joachim Pereira and Neil Newman.

Ingle Farm out played Salisbury Florina through out the whole 90 minutes, but all the Farm lacked was the strike power. The first goal came from the young Florina midfielder in the early period of the game Zac Bratis.

Florina then extended their lead in the late stage of the first half through Keegan to go in to the break 2-0 up. The Farm played some good soccer though. Alex Bautista and Alex Luker both running amok on the left wing for the home team.

Joshua McQueen was the outstanding player of the half.

In the second half it was very much the same with the Farm having a lot of possession but Salisbury Florina took their chance, again through Keegan.

The score ended up 3-0 and Ingle Farm continues their bad form - especially in their own territory.

It must be due to the absence of one Joachim "Kanu" Pereira. The dynamic striker's goals have been badly missed the past few games, but don't worry sport fans, I will be back in action next match - so watch out!

Graeme Scott wasn't complaining though, with his Hawks showing the Power how to play footy. Listen young fella - you are here to report on the soccer, and the soccer only, keep it clean. -Ed

Final score: Ingle Farm C's 0 Salisbury Florina C's 3.

ROUND 11
SALISBURY INTER vs INGLE FARM
UNDERDOWN PARK
SUNDAY, JULY 1ST, 2007

It was a great Sunday morning and the Farm had to travel to Salisbury to play the only team that hasn't been relegated from the first Division…Salisbury Inter. Last time these two met the Farm won 4-3 after super sub Tim Fisher netted two in his first 5 minutes for the club.

The Farm had a new face in the team, a fresh import straight from Malaysia . The young star John Shelton. He is the cousin of the TOP SCORER for the C team KANU PEREIRA … So we welcome the young midfielder.

We also welcome William Sylvanus who was also playing his first game for the Farm. Unfortunately we haven't seen Belly rock up to any of the C team games…It could be either he is fed up with the losses or he can't miss his breakfast. (It's fed up -Ed)

The Farm in the opening 10 minutes played as well as they have all season. Great one touch passing by the Farm controlled by the midfielders were shown right from the word go.

However, in the 15th minute, the Farm got a scare when a counter attack from Salisbury Inter managed to ricochet off the wood work. A few great strikes from Joshua McQueen, William, John and Richard were narrowly missed for the visitors.

Then in the 30th minute, Tim Fisher received the ball just out side the 18 yard box and curled it in to the top corner. What a cracker of a goal it was to give the Farm a lead. 1-0 to Ingle Farm.

At half time the score remained 1-0. Well done to the whole Ingle Farm team. Good performances from William, Tim Walker, Joshua McQueen, Intham and John Shelton.

Second Half

The second half was easily Ingle Farm's half. From the word go the Farm kept attacking and attacking and attacking. The whole team played as a unit.

Scotty Collins was introduced in the 60th minute and within 5 minutes he put his name on the score card. John Shelton put a beautiful ball for Richard who then crossed it in for Scotty Collins to double the Farms lead. 2-0 to Ingle Farm.

Joshua McQueen counter attacked. Josh found the ball in his own half and bolted towards the opposing goal. None of the defenders could catch him when he coolly placed the ball past the Inter goal keeper. 3-0 to Ingle Farm.

The Farm then sealed the match when Scotty Collins combined with Joshua McQueen to give Josh his second goal of the match. Scotty played a one-two back to Josh who placed the ball past the diving Inter keeper to make the match way out of Salisbury Inter's reach. 4-0 to Ingle Farm.

The game ended up being 4-0 to Ingle Farm and finally they got the win they have been longing for.

Great Performance by John Shelton, Intham, Joshua McQueen, Tim Walker, Alex Bautista and Lee Martindale.

Well done lads for the win.

Kanu no offside count this week as he was running the line.

As seen by former player, Kanu.

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 12
INGLE FARM vs PARA HILLS EAST
WALKLEY PARK - RESCHEDULED TO PARA HILLS OVAL DUE TO THE PITCH
SUNDAY, JULY 8th, 2007

With the Hawks losing to the good ole crows, Coach Dunstall would at least hope his C team troops would display the performance they did the previous week. This week they were to play Para Hills East.

Both teams were due to play down at Ingle Farm, but due to the bad pitch the game was to be abandoned. But after further discussion both teams agreed to travel up the road to East's home ground and play the game.

It was a big turn out for the Farm with 16 players wanting a game. Unfortunately Coach Dunstall had to pull out two players which included Kanu who is recovering from his hamstring injury and Matty Fagan.

The Farm started off where the left off last week. The C's passed the ball around and created openings making the East defence look lost.

Then in the 8th minute injury struck, Farm's two goal bandit from last week Josh McQueen pulled a hamstring. So on came the young “nutmeg king” Tan Nguyen.

And in the 18th minute the young Malaysian import midfielder John Shelton broke the dead lock. With a great one-two play, Shelton found himself one on one with the goal keeper. He then cleverly placed the ball past the diving keeper to make it 1-0 to Ingle Farm.

The score stayed 1-0 to Ingle Farm at the break.

Farm came into the second half pumped. But so did Para Hills East.

Both sides were playing possession soccer but unfortunately no one produced chances. “Boy do they miss Kanu.”

Then in the 68th minute the equalizer came. Some great play by East found the winger on the right. He crossed the ball to find their striker at the far post to tuck in a well deserved goal. 1-1 the score.

After that it was a possession game for both sides. Neither team really tested the keeper unfortunately.

The score ended up 1-1 a well played game by both teams.

Best players included: John Shelton, Alex Bautista, Intham Saisanavong and Brendan Fagan.

PS. It was said that Alex Bautista picked up at this game. My spies tell me it was Para Hills East's full back that Bautista took home.

KANU WILL BE BACK NEXT GAME

C TEAM MATCH REPORT - KANU'S KORNER

ROUND 13
INGLE FARM vs ATHELSTONE
WALKLEY PARK
SUNDAY, JULY 22nd, 2007

Farm hasn't had a loss yet in this second half of the season and they were hoping to keep up their record against the winless Athelstone. As it is every week the turn up for this game was another big one. The Ingle Farm C team as I have noticed is starting to loose all their older players and bringing in younger ones. “Maybe that's why we are starting to win again”

As usually Scotty didn't arrive till about 5 minutes before kick off with his new assistant coach…his dog. We also welcome back our star C team striker Kanu Pereira after returning from a hamstring injury.

The surprise of the morning was that Intham who has been doing really well in the midfield area volunteered to play in goals for the Farm.

The Farm was to kick off and right from the start they put pressure on their opposition. Farm continuing where they left off at training with their one two passes which left Athelstone running like headless chooks.

Then in the 25th minute Josh McQueen put an excellent through ball for Scotty Collins to tap it past the diving keeper. GOAL…1-0 to the Farm.

Then about a few minutes later Farm got a scare when a scramble in the Farm penalty box lead to a shot at open goals from Athelstone, only to be saved by our left back Timmy Walker.

In the 35th minute Ingle Farm was awarded a corner. This time Timmy Walker stepped up to take it He swung the ball in and found Scotty Collins again to put it over the keeper and into the net. 2-0 to the Farm.

And straight away the Farm extended their lead when in form midfielder Joshua McQueen held off a defender, turned that same defender and blasted a ball into the top corner. GOAL….3-0 to Ingle Farm.

The score line stayed at 3-0 at half time. Great performance by all the boys.

Second Half…

The second half wasn't as exciting as the first half. A few changes were made for the Farm taking off Kanu, John and Josh McQueen.

The Farm had their half chances in the second half but it wasn't lethal enough to trouble the goal keeper.

Then in the 75th minute Tuyen Nguyen danced past 2 defenders and put in a great cross for Tim Fisher to tap in. GOAL….4-0 to Ingle Farm.

Then both the cousins were introduced and straight away made an impact. Kanu and Johnny playing a few one twos, trying to create chances but again nothing to great to trouble the Athelstone defence.

Then in the 88th minute Kanu found himself chasing a ball with the Athelstone last man. With that great pressure from Kanu the defender cleared the ball straight to Johnny who found himself one-on-one with the goal keeper and calmly placed it past the keeper to put the icing on the Cake…5-0 to Ingle Farm

It was great game for all the players…Congratulations Intham for his clean sheet…And let me say that this time the referring was a LITTLE bit better then it usually is down at the Farm.

ROUND 14
INGLE FARM vs ELIZABETH DOWNS
WALKLEY PARK
SUNDAY, JULY 29th, 2007

C team who is yet to lose a game this half of the season and have only conceded just the one goal are playing hosts to a very physical side all the way from Elizabeth. Farm coming in to this game looking for revenge after bad referring in the first leg of this fixture which lead to two penalties and ending the game in an undeserving draw.

The Farm yet again had a full squad with a couple key players missing including Richard, Scotty Collin and our very own Emmanuel Eboue (William). We welcome back our long lost goal keeper Richie Bales.

All kitted up referee Robbie Bell wearing his ballet tights and a jacket that was given to him when he was ten, blew the whistle for Ingle Farm to kick off. From the start the Farm controlled the game again playing their passing game. It took Coach Scotty a whole half season to carve this passing play into the player’s heads and they are finally doing as told.

It wasn’t long before Farm opened the league when John Shelton scored a cracker from outside the 18 yard box. He received the ball outside the penalty box, cut the ball past one player and smashed the ball to the top corner. GOAL!!!!!!!! 1-0 to the Farm and that’s 3 in 3 games for young on loan midfielder John Shelton.

The Downs tactics after this was not to attack the ball but to play their usual hard football.

Then in the 40th minute Kanu received a floating ball in the 18yard box before he was crushed by two big defenders to win the ball. It was a clear penalty but due to BAD referring no penalty was given. Kanu had to come off and on came TANK TOP TAN.

The score remained 1-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half was much better then the first half. The Farm kept attacking and attacking. It wasn’t to be Downs day.

In the 65th minute the Farm doubled their leaded with a cracker from Timmy Fisher. The young striker lost the ball just outside the penalty box. But with precision he fought back to get the ball and took a shot just inside the 18yard box to beat the keeper. 2-0 to the Farm. Another great goal.

Tuen Nguyen then scored the third goal for the Farm to further extend their lead. A slight scramble in the penalty box in the 70th minute found the small striker one on one with the goal keeper. He calmly placed the ball to the bottom of the diving keeper. GOAL!!! 3-0 to the Farm

To finish it Tim Fisher sealed the victory from Ingle Farm. A well taken goal from outside the 18 yard box by Tim Fisher made the score 4-0. Tim received the ball outside the 18 yard box and smashed it to the bottom corner of the goals. Tuen was right on the goal line to touch the ball it. The question is who scored the goal Tuen or Tim Fisher.

The score ended 4-0 to Ingle Farm. A well deserved victory against a rough Elizabeth side. Well done to the boys.

ROUND 18
PARA HILLS WEST vs INGLE FARM
MANOR FARM OVAL
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2007

Ingle Farm C's were propped up by Dads Army today - just as well due to injury and committments probably would have meant a forfeit.

But didn't the C's and C2's combine well as they ran around in circles and did bugger all for most of the day.

They eventually lost 2-0 - showing a distinct lack of pace against their younger opponents.

Timee Walker and Darren bancroft played well for Farm, so did Scotty after he woke up late for the umpteenth time of the season.

Best Players: Darren Bancroft, Lee Perkins, Neil Newman

Final score: Para Hills West C's 2 Ingle Farm C's 0
